One of the great wildlife spectacles on earth — hundreds of scarlet and blue-and-yellow macaws descending to a clay river bank at dawn to eat mineral-rich clay. Based at a lodge on the Tambopata River within the national reserve, with daily excursions to the Colpa Colorado macaw clay lick and a full programme of jungle walks, canoe trips, and night safaris.
