The factory operated from 1915 to 1971, processing animals from the Patagonian estancias. The preservation is exceptional — original machinery, loading docks, and signage have been kept intact throughout.
Being in Puerto Natales (rather than inside the park) gives flexibility — the hotel arranges park transfers but guests can also explore the town, take day trips to other sites, and use the hotel as a base for multiple days.
Open October–April only. The shoulder months of November and March offer the best balance of weather, availability, and rates.
