Six treehouses 10–35m above the Amazon floor — the only canopy accommodation in the world
Sleeping in the rainforest canopy — 10 to 35 metres above the jungle floor — is an experience with no equivalent anywhere in the world. The Treehouse Lodge's six suspended houses are accessible by rope bridge and spiral staircase, each positioned within the canopy to maximize wildlife encounters: howler monkey families at eye level, giant otters hunting in the river below, and a soundscape of birds and insects that renders sleep both challenging and utterly memorable.
The entry-level canopy experience — still extraordinary at 10 metres above the forest floor. Rope bridge access, open-air sleeping platform (with mosquito net), and private bathroom below.
The mid-canopy houses — genuinely dramatic height, with treetop views over the surrounding forest and the best wildlife access. The most popular option.
The highest treehouse on earth available to general guests — 35 metres above the forest floor with 360° canopy views. Accessible by a series of rope bridges. Extraordinary and not for the faint-hearted.
All meals included in rates — hearty Amazonian cooking with river fish (paiche, piranha), plantain, yuca, and tropical fruits. Eaten communally at a long table on the forest floor while parakeets and squirrel monkeys investigate from above.
The Amazon at canopy level has insects. Mosquito nets are provided on all beds. Long sleeves and repellent (30% DEET minimum) are essential at dawn and dusk. This is part of the experience, not a deterrent.
The lodge runs on a generator (evening only) and has no WiFi. Charge everything in Iquitos before departure. Embrace the disconnection.
Malaria is present in the Peruvian Amazon. Consult your doctor at least 4 weeks before travel about prophylactic medication. The lodge provides mosquito nets and repellent.
Light, breathable long-sleeved clothing; waterproof bags for electronics; headtorch; binoculars; waterproof sandals or light hiking shoes; 100% DEET repellent; sunscreen.
