Fourteen private villas in a nature reserve bordering Iguazú National Park — each with its own pool and personal guide
Awasi Iguazú takes the private lodge concept to its logical extreme. Just 14 villas in a private nature reserve bordering the national park — each with its own pool, terrace, and dedicated personal guide and 4x4 vehicle. You never share an excursion with other guests unless you choose to. The reserve itself covers 25 hectares of Atlantic Forest with its own wildlife, birding trails, and creek swimming. But Awasi's real achievement is the quality of the guiding — each guide is a specialist naturalist with deep knowledge of the falls, the surrounding ecosystem, and the indigenous Guaraní culture of the Iguazú region.
Private villas set within the nature reserve gardens, each with a private plunge pool, a generous terrace with hammock, and direct access to the forest. The interiors blend Argentine design with Guaraní craft motifs — indigenous textiles, natural stone, and reclaimed wood.
Villas positioned deeper into the forest, with more complete seclusion and the sounds of the reserve's wildlife providing the soundtrack. The most immersive option.
The largest villas with expanded terraces, a larger plunge pool, an outdoor bathtub on the terrace, and priority scheduling with the personal guide.
Breakfast and dinner included. The menu is driven by Argentine and indigenous Guaraní ingredients — native fish from the Iguazú river, wild herbs from the reserve, and Argentine beef from local producers. Lunch can be arranged as a packed picnic at the falls or a light meal at the villa.
Any meal can be served at your villa terrace. Breakfast by the pool is particularly recommended — the chef delivers at the time of your choice.
The 25-hectare private reserve that surrounds the villas is genuine Atlantic Forest — one of the world's most threatened biomes, with extraordinary bird (over 500 species in the Iguazú region) and mammal diversity. Your guide will help you identify what's around you from the villa terrace.
Iguazú is subtropical — warm and humid year-round (20–35°C). March–May has the highest water volume at the falls. August–November has the most comfortable temperatures and excellent wildlife activity.
Breakfast and dinner are included. The private guide and vehicle are included. Alcoholic beverages at dinner are included. Lunch and activity-specific fees (e.g., Gran Aventura boat ride, Brazilian park entry) are additional.
With only 14 villas, Awasi books out quickly for peak holiday periods (Christmas, Easter, Argentine school holidays in July). Book 3–6 months ahead for these dates; 4–6 weeks is usually sufficient at other times.
